For more information about upcoming events, visit http://www.sccivilwar.org/ as these events are “some of the hallmarks of the war” and will be commemorated via the Lowcountry Sesquicentennial by the Fort Sumter-Fort Moultrie Historical Trust and its’ partners from December 2010 through April 2015. The Civil War Sesquicentennial is not a celebration but a commemoration to honor the 620,000 American soldiers, sailors, and mariners who lost their lives during the conflict.
