Camps & Classes At The GM Darby Building!

The GM Darby Building, located at 302 Pitt Street, was constructed in 1884 as the Berkeley County Courthouse. At that time, Mount Pleasant served as the Berkeley County seat until 1895, when the town rejoined Charleston County. In 1991, the building was renamed in honor of our former Mayor G. Magrath Darby Jr.

Today the building serves as a community staple, used by the Town of Mount Pleasant Recreation Department for a wide variety of events, classes and children’s programs. Events include guitar and piano lessons, art classes, dance lessons and so much more!

Click here for a list of Spring and Summer activities at the GM Darby Building, as well as other Town Facilities. My kids grew up attending these events, so much fun!
