The H & R Sweet Shop, which opened in April of 1945, is reported to be the longest continually operating business east of the Cooper, and possibly the oldest continually operating restaurant in the county! Located at 102 Royall Avenue, The H & R Sweet Shop offers Southern Cooking from timeless family recipes that include fried chicken, pork chops, fried shrimp plus okra soup, red rice and cabbage.
