iParent Education

Local parent, neighbor, and social media educator, Jennifer Bilbro, started iParent Education to bridge the technology communication gap. She wants to empower parents to keep children safe, connect with them through technology, and guide them to be good digital citizens. Parents don’t have to know (nor do they need to know) everything about technology, but we cannot afford to bury our head in the sand and hope for the best.

Most parents are challenged by technology and the influence it has on our children. The constant connection to friends through social media or even a vlogger that share videos daily, often takes precedence over our influence. Jennifer addresses today’s technology advances and trends in a language parents can understand. She provides tips and tricks on how to communicate with your tech child and understand what they are doing on devices.

One of my favorite weeks in Charleston is right around the corner!  Restaurant Week – Wednesday, September 5 through Sunday, September 16. With 12 days of delicious deals available at over 100 of Charleston’s most renowned restaurants, this is a great time to get out and sample our local eats!

And as if that was exciting enough… for the first time, Charleston Restaurant Week is partnering with Charleston Beer Week! Select restaurants will be offering a special brews to top-off their Charleston Restaurant Week menu. How cool is that!!
