I GOT LEGS Virtual Race!

Big shout-out to Adam Gorlitsky, founder of I GOT LEGS, a non-profit organization dedicated to ReEnabling the paralysis community to not only stand and walk, but compete in races using cutting-edge exoskeleton technology!

Funds from Adam’s Exoskeleton Racing Virtual Racing League Program help:

  • increase the access to the exoskeleton technology for the paralysis community
  • organize races and competitions
  • create training programs
  • build a community around this new and exciting sport for adaptive athletes.

Mt. Pleasant Christmas Parade! Dec. 12 at 5:30pm

There is no better way to get into the holiday spirit than this evening parade- complete with beautifully lit floats and Santa riding on a fire engine!

This year is the 26th edition of the Mount Pleasant South Carolina Christmas Light Parade, will take place on December 12th at 5:30pm along West Coleman Boulevard. Parade route begins at Live Oak Drive and will proceed along Coleman Boulevard to Patriots Point. This is the only local parade that takes place at night. All floats are festooned with strings of glowing lights.

August Events!

It’s hard to believe we’re more than halfway through the year!  I wanted to share some fun outside events taking place in the Charleston area this month including:

  1. Holy City Farmers Market (August 11, 18 & 25): a weekly farmers market at Holy City Brewing 
  2. Acoustic Nights on the Green (August 12, 19 & 26): a weekly acoustic music series at Freshfields Village
  3. SC Reggae Jerk Wine Festival (August 29): a full-day festival featuring Jamaican foods, wine and music.
