Market Update- Lower Mt. Pleasant

The 2022 Year to Date stats for Lower Mt. Pleasant show a decrease in the amount of homes sold, but an increase in pricing over this time last year. Closed sales were down about 14% but prices were up about 21% since this time last year. Homes went under contract quickly in 2022, with an average of 15 days on the market vs. 23 days in 2021.

Charleston Real Estate Market Update

The 2022 data for Year to Date Sales in Charleston County indicate a decrease in the amount of homes sold, but a steady increase in pricing over 2021. According to The Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS, closed sales were down about 17% but prices were up about 15% since this time last year. Homes sold quickly in 2022, up 37%, for an average of 17 days vs. 27 days in 2021.

The H & R Sweet Shop- The Oldest Continually Operated Restaurant In The Country!

The H & R Sweet Shop, which opened in April of 1945, is reported to be the longest continually operating business east of the Cooper, and possibly the oldest continually operating restaurant in the county!  Located at 102 Royall Avenue, The H & R Sweet Shop offers Southern Cooking from timeless family recipes that include fried chicken, pork chops, fried shrimp plus okra soup, red rice and cabbage.  Yum!!!!
