“We had the opportunity to work with Jackie to sell our home. Through every step of the process Jackie provided exceptional advice and guidance which ultimately helped us sell our home in a week. It is extremely important to have someone with her knowledge, advice, and responsiveness whenever going through, what could be, a stressful ordeal. I highly recommend Jackie Kelly”.

2013 started off with a huge bang! Real estate sales were up all over the Lowcountry and this was especially true in the Old Village/ Old Mt. Pleasant. To review the 3rd QUARTER stats in the Old Village/ Old Mt. Pleasant, 13 homes sold in 2011, doubling to 25 homes sold in 2012 and as of today (9/26, so we have a few more days to go) there has already been 33 homes sold. Looks good! Plus, the average SALES PRICE is up as well, from $557,000 in 2011 to $567,000 in 2012 and $610,000 this year. It feels like we have reached a stable market and conditions, in general, seem to be trending in the right direction.
Since The Cassina Group was founded in 2006, we have rapidly expanded and have become a recognized leader in the Charleston real estate market. In 2011, our group handled 143 transactions and over $51 million in sales. In 2012 we handled 235 transactions and over $96 million—which placed us in the top 2% of the Charleston MLS! This is impressive, as we are a small office with about 12 agents.
As of today, July 1, 2013 we are on pace to far exceed these figures with over 147 transactions sold and $58 million in business closed thus far! On a personal note, I am on track to close more this year than I have closed in any given year…. Ever!

Shem Creek has always been a local favorite, and for good reason! Here, you can float up on your boat, Paddle board, boogie board, dog, whatever-gets-you-on-the-water, and dock alongside your choice of several great restaurants. Locals and tourist alike can all be found here post beach, enjoying the fiery sunsets over the Creak, enjoying a cool drink and some low country boil. Despite all the boat traffic, Shem Creek is also a great place to look for dolphins! They are known to show off for the crowds here. Consider yourself especially lucky if you can spot a Manatee! If the thought of peeling your own shrimp doesn’t scare you off, be sure and keep an eye for the shrimp boats heading back to the docks. There are several all local seafood markets along the creek, selling the freshest shrimp possible- right off the boat. They can be tricky to find, but just follow your nose to the source of one our best local delicacies.
